Andrew Barchilon is a writer, director and executive producer behind the absurd, cult favorite, The Eric Andre Show on Adult Swim. He teamed up with Eric Andre and Kitao Sakurai to create the show in an abandoned bodega in Brooklyn. Four seasons later it routinely won its time slot across cable. He also developed the story for the feature film Bad Trip.
Andrew grew up in New York with two psychotherapists for parents and got his first taste of television at 18 when he acted on the HBO show OZ. Later, while living in Buenos Aires, he wrote a collection of short stories in Spanish called Todos Mis Amores Imaginarios and directed the short doc Alienadas, which premiered at the Vienalle.
Andrew was the showrunner and co-director for the Comedy Central pilot, Unemployable, starring Hannibal Buress, which was leaked on the internet to general acclaim. He also co-directed the pilot, Alienated, starring Mae Whitman, which was developed by Lonely Island for Fox. Andrew was the showrunner for the TruTV pilot, Buy For Now and a supervising producer on the MTV show, Wonderland. His short film, The Do It Up Date, premiered at SXSW and earned a Vimeo Staff Pick.
Andrew has also been working in the commercial world, building on his experience with celebrity talent, shooting alternatively styled spots for Sprite, Converse, Schick, and AXE, with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Maisie Williams, Lil Yachty, and Michael Phelps.
